A journey through the milestones of Ayyavazhi

1833 - Birth of Ayya Vaikundar

Ayya Vaikundar, considered the Purna avatar of Narayana, was born in 1833, marking the beginning of Ayyavazhi’s spiritual movement.

1840 - Writing of Akilathirattu Ammanai

The sacred text *Akilathirattu Ammanai* was written by Hari Gopalan Citar, a disciple of Vaikundar, detailing his divine mission.

1849 - Establishment of Swamithoppepathi

Swamithoppepathi became the spiritual headquarters of Ayyavazhi, serving as a focal point for worship and teachings.

Late 19th Century - Spread of Ayyavazhi

Ayyavazhi gained widespread followers in southern Tamil Nadu and Kerala, particularly among marginalized communities, promoting equality.
